Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Marine Robotics Engineer to join our autonomous marine systems team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the cutting edge of ocean exploration technology, focusing on the hardware and systems integration of our AI-powered autonomous surface vehicles. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the physical systems that power our next-generation USVs.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement hardware architecture for autonomous surface vehicle systems
  • Integrate and maintain various sensor systems (cameras, hydrophones, sonar, GPS, IMUs)
  • Configure and optimize network infrastructure for real-time data transmission
  • Design and implement power distribution systems for marine robotics platforms
  • Manage hardware-software interfaces and communication protocols
  • Develop and maintain system diagnostics and monitoring solutions
  • Lead hardware/sensor selection and evaluation for new system components
  • Ensure marine-grade environmental protection for all systems
  • Conduct field testing and deployment of hardware systems
  • Troubleshoot complex system integration issues
  • Document hardware configurations, integration procedures, and maintenance protocols

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Strong understanding of marine electronics and environmental considerations
  • Experience with sensor integration and networking protocols
  • Proficiency in hardware debugging and system optimization
  • Knowledge of power systems and distribution networks
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, Serial, Ethernet)
  • Experience with marine-grade connectors and waterproofing techniques
  • Understanding of GPS, IMU, and maritime navigation systems
  • Ability to read and create electrical schematics
  • Experience with CAD software for mechanical integration
  • Knowledge of safety regulations for marine systems
  • Hands-on experience with USVs or marine robotics preferred
  • Experience with ROS2 hardware integration a plus
  • Interest in UFO/USO area a plus
